Just two weeks after Rebel Wilson’s explosive memoir, “Rebel Rising,” dropped a bombshell on Hollywood, Sacha Baron Cohen and his wife, Isla Fisher, have announced their split. The couple, who had been playing a love match for over two decades, finally decided to hang up their racquets in 2023.
In a joint statement released on Instagram Stories on Friday, April 5, the couple revealed, “After a 20-year-long tennis match, we’ve decided to put our racquets down. We filed jointly to end our marriage in 2023.” They continued, “We’ve always valued our privacy and have been quietly navigating this change. Our love and devotion for our children remain unchanged. We kindly ask for your respect for our family’s privacy during this time.”
The announcement comes hot on the heels of Rebel Wilson’s revelation that Sacha was the “a**hole” she called out in her memoir, accusing him of inappropriate behavior on the set of their film, Grimsby. Sacha and Isla, who share daughters Olive and Elula and son Montgomery, tied the knot in 2010 after meeting in 2001 and getting engaged in 2004.
